Self-Worth Counselling for Women

Reclaim your confidence, rebuild your self-esteem, and remember your inner strength.

I support women who feel unseen, not enough, or emotionally stuck — and help them gently reconnect with their self-worth and personal power.

💛 Why Self-Worth Matters for Women

Self-worth shapes how you see yourself, how you show up in relationships, and how you navigate life’s challenges.

When your self-worth is low, you might:

  • Constantly people-please
  • Avoid conflict to keep the peace
  • Tolerate disrespect or silence your own needs

Over time, this can lead to exhaustion, emotional disconnection, and the painful belief that you’re never truly enough — even after trying a thousand times.

Women today face intense pressure to succeed, look a certain way, and meet expectations in every part of life — at home, at work, and in society. These pressures often weigh even heavier on women navigating cultural identity, generational trauma, or perfectionism.

That’s why I offer ongoing self-worth counselling for women — a compassionate, grounded space to heal. I support you in breaking free from self-doubt and low confidence — not by trying harder to be “better,” but by learning to believe in yourself and reclaim the strength you already carry within.

What My Self-Worth Counselling Can Help You With

How I’ll Support You in Healing

My approach to counselling is intuitive, grounded, and in-depth. I combine deep inquiry with compassionate presence, drawing from both practical tools and soulful insight to support your healing. In our sessions, I hold space for your inner world — not to fix or rush you, but to gently explore the deeper layers of your experience with curiosity, acceptance, and care.

Together, we’ll work to understand what’s beneath your self-doubt, reconnect with your emotional truth, and build the inner safety and strength you need to move forward. I tailor each session to your unique needs, weaving together evidence-based and holistic modalities to help you integrate mind, body, and spirit.

Here are the core areas I draw from to support your transformation:

Emotional Healing

Compassion-Focused Therapy, Inner Child Work, and CBT are used to help you explore and soothe emotional pain, release inner criticism, and rebuild a more loving, empowered relationship with yourself.

Body-Based Support

Somatic therapy, mindfulness, and grounding practices help you reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and release emotions that may be stored beyond words.

Relational Exploration

Through Attachment Theory and Family Systems, we’ll explore how early experiences and relationship patterns continue to shape your self-worth and ways of relating.

Spiritual Integration

Drawing from Gestalt and psycho-spiritual approaches, I support you in exploring meaning, purpose, and the deeper layers of your identity — offering a soulful, whole-person perspective on healing.

Client Testimonials

Many women come to me carrying invisible burdens — shame, pressure, self-doubt, and relational pain. Below are reflections from clients I’ve supported in reconnecting with their self-worth, finding emotional freedom, and learning to honour their true selves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Starting therapy can bring up all kinds of questions — especially if you’ve never done it before. Below are some answers to common questions clients ask when they’re considering self-worth counselling with me. If your question isn’t listed here, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help.

💬 I’ve never done therapy before. What will our first session be like?

That’s completely okay — many of my clients are new to therapy. Our first session is simply a gentle, supportive space for us to get to know each other. I’ll guide you through the conversation and ask about what’s bringing you here, what challenges you’re facing, and what you’d like to explore.

There’s no pressure to share everything at once — we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you. My role is to listen with care and curiosity, helping you feel safe and at ease as we begin.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer — it depends on what you’re working through.

For more focused issues like work stress or exam anxiety, 6–12 sessions may feel helpful. For deeper healing (e.g. childhood wounds, relationship trauma, or long-standing self-worth struggles), ongoing therapy tends to offer more meaningful and lasting transformation.

You are always in control — and we’ll check in regularly to make sure the pace and direction feel supportive for you.

  • Online sessions: 55 minutes
  • In-person sessions: 50 minutes
  • Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build trust and momentum, then shift to fortnightly as needed. I recommend 4-6 weekly sessions before shifting to fortnightly sessions.

We’ll talk about what rhythm feels right for your emotional process and adjust as we go.

Absolutely. So much of our self-worth is shaped by our early relationships — with caregivers, family, partners, or society.

If you’ve experienced abandonment, emotional neglect, unmet needs, or toxic dynamics, we can explore how those experiences affect your current patterns. Together, we’ll bring gentle awareness to these dynamics and support you in creating new ways of relating — to others, and to yourself.

You’re not alone — many people feel this way. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear starting point. That’s part of the process.

I’ll guide you gently and intuitively, helping you tune into what’s happening inside and express it in a way that feels authentic and safe. All parts of you are welcome.

Yes — I offer secure online therapy via Zoom, which many clients find just as personal and effective as in-person sessions.

If you prefer face-to-face work, I also offer in-person sessions in London Bridge, Surbiton, and Kingston, depending on availability. Just get in touch to check my current schedule.

Yes. Everything you share is treated with the utmost respect, care, and confidentiality. I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their professional and ethical guidelines.

We’ll talk through how confidentiality works during your first session. You’re always welcome to ask questions about privacy and boundaries at any point.

It’s simple — you can reach out via my contact page or email me directly to arrange a free 20-minute consultation. I’ll reply personally, answer any questions you have, and send a few gentle intake prompts to help me understand your needs.

From there, we’ll book a time to connect and see how it feels to work together. There’s no pressure — you can take your time to decide whether you’d like to begin.
